The present study was conducted intending to take into account the mediating work-family conflict role in relation with stress and social support with job and family satisfaction. Study samples included 203 industrial factory personnel selected through convenience sampling in Ahvaz over 2014. In this study, which is a descriptive endeavor of a correlational nature , participants filled in the job stress scale (Parkers & Decotis, 1983), the perceived organizational support survey (Eisenberger, et al., 1997), the job in general scale (Ironson, et al., 1989), the family stress questionnaire (Hennessy, 2005), the perceived social support-family scale (Procidano & Heller, 1983), the family satisfaction scale (Aryee, et al., 1999), and the work-family conflict scale (Carlson, et al., 2000). Structural equation modeling was used to assess the suggested pattern and the bootstrapping method was used to test the mediating effect and it was performed via AMOS. Structural equation modeling indices confirmed general study patterns. Among the relations, only the direct relation of job stress and perceived organizational support were deleted from pattern 1 (work-family conflict mediation). The fitting indices obtained showed that the corrected pattern was of good fitness. Results from the bootstrapping method and the confidence distance from it showed that the work-family conflict completely mediates between job stress and perceived organizational support with family satisfaction and family-work conflict is a partial mediator between family stress and perceived family support with job satisfaction. Thus, job stress and perceived organizational support affect family satisfaction only through work-family conflict, while in the family, family stress and perceived family support directly affect job satisfaction through family-work conflict. Therefore, organizations are not only able to manage conflicts generated between work and the family, but can satisfy personnel with the job itself and the family can apply suitable approaches to reduce their own personnel stress and increase their support.

The present study attempts to investigate the causal relationship between optimism, test anxiety and mathematical performance with the mediating role of dispositional and situational coping strategies in sophomore students of Basic Science at Kurdistan University in the academic year 2011-12. The statistical population of the study includes a total sum of 279 male and female students selected through multi-stage random sampling. Research instruments include the TAI Questionnaire, the LOT-R Test, and the pf-SOC Questionnaire, all of which had acceptable validity and reliability. A correlational method of path analysis type has been applied to the present study. The results show that in addition to having a direct effect on mathematical performance, optimism exerts an indirect effect on it through reflective as well as dispositional coping styles. Besides, the direct and indirect effects of test anxiety on mathematical performance through reactive situational coping style and suppressive coping style prove to be significant. Finally, in the reformed model, all path coefficients and model indices were significant and acceptable respectively and the reformed model proved to be appropriate.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between psychological empowerment and job performance with the mediating role of job attitudes. The statistical population were the employees of Marun Oil & Gas Producing Company, Ahvaz. Among them 216 employees were selected via stratified random sampling. The research instruments consisted of the psychological empowerment questionnaire, the counterproductive behavior questionnaire, the organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire, the in-role behavior questionnaire, the job Satisfaction questionnaire and the affective commitment questionnaire. A simple correlation method was employed for the simple hypothesis and a bootstrap was employed in order to test the mediating hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Amos 20 and SPSS 16. The results showed that the model was fit with the data. There was a positive relationship between psychological empowerment and job satisfaction, affective commitment, IRB and OCB and a negative relationship with counterproductive behavior. The results also indicate that affective commitment mediated the relationship between psychological empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior, and the relationship with psychological empowerment and in-role behavior, but only job satisfaction mediated the relationship between psychological empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior. Thus, it can be concluded that psychological empowerment has a positive effect on job attitudes, and conclusively on job performance.

The present study was conducted with the purpose of predicting group membership of academic giftedness and ordinariness in first grade high school students, using variables such as academic motivation, goal orientation, emotional intelligence, metacognition, direction strategies, deep approach to study, self-efficacy, academic adjustment and personality traits. Nine questionnaires used in this study were: 1- Inventory of School Motivation (ISM) 2- Academic Goal Orientation (AGOR) 3- Schutte Emotional Intelligence (SSEIT) 4- Metacognition Awareness Inventory (MAI) 5- Inventory of Learning Style (ILS) 6- The Approaches to Study Inventory (ASI) 7- The Patterns of Adaptive Learning Study (PALS) 8- Adjustment Inventory for School Students (AISS) 9- NEO-FFI. To carry out the study, two samples consisting of 178 ordinary male and female high school students together with 135 gifted male and female high school students were randomly selected. To test the hypotheses and predict groups’ membership, discriminant analysis was used. Using the Enter method, the result showed that the difference between the two groups of gifted and ordinary students was significant. Using Stepwise method, effective variables were: 1- external direction 2- metacognitive regulation 3- appraisal and expression of emotion 4- deep approach to study 5- performance goal orientation 6- academic adjustment 7- intrinsic motivation 8- conscientiousness 9- neuroticism 10- avoidance performance goal orientation. Besides, when the variables were separately used to predict groups membership, variables such as performance goal orientation, avoidance performance goal orientation, appraisal and expression of emotion, metacognitive regulation, external direction, deep approach to study, academic adjustment, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness to experience remained significant.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationshipbetween job and organizational variables and teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors, considering the mediating role of job stress. To this end, 200 female teachers from public schools in Ilam were selected via multistage random sampling. Research instruments consisted of teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire, organizational trust questionnaire, organizational justice scale, Islamic work ethic scale, and job stress scale. The data were analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM), using SPSS-16 and AMOS-20 software packages. The results showed that the research model was fitted with the data and showed that organizational justice and Islamic work ethic had a significant direct effect on teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior; but the direct effect of organizational trust on teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors was not significant. Bootstrap method for analyzing the mediator relationships showed that job stress mediated the relationship between organizational trust together with Islamic work ethic and teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior. However, the relationship between organizational justice and teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors was not mediated by job stress.Due to the role of teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors in school outcomes, considerable attention should be paid to the factors affecting on it; including the variables examined in this study.
