Mindfulness in psychotherapy research has been conceptualized as an enhanced state of self-awareness thought to promote well-being. In this research, the effectiveness of group cognitive therapy based on mindfulness in reducing anxiety and depression in high school students was studied. This research was an experimental study with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. The subjects included 40 high school male students in Khorramabad city. At the outset, the test of anxiety and depression was administered to 420 students. Those students who had disappointing scores in the test were selected and administrated to clinical interview. Among them, 20 students were randomly assigned to experimental group and 20 other students to control group. The experimental group received group mindfulness training for 8 sessions as each session lasted 90 minutes (one session each week). Upon the completion of the training, a posttest was administrated to both groups. Results of multivariate analysis of variance indicated a significant decrease in anxiety and depression in the experimental group compared with the control group. Besides, cognitive therapy based on mindfulness increased psychological health in adolescents (p<0/01).

The aim of this study was to examine mediation effect of self-regulation on the relationship between secure, avoidant, and ambivalent attachment styles with alexithymia in a sample of Iranian general population. A total of 612 volunteers (282 men, 330 women) participated in this study. All participants were asked to complete Adult Attachment Inventory (AAI), Toronto Alexithymia Scale (FTAS-20), and Short version of the Self-Regulation Inventory (SRI-S). Secure attachment style showed a significant negative relationship with alexithymia, while avoidant and ambivalent attachment styles showed a significant positive relationship with alexithymia. Analysis of the data revealed that self-regulation partially mediated the relationship between attachment styles and alexithymia. It is found that secure and insecure attachment styles can predict changes of alexithymia through self-regulation in opposite directions. Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that mediation effect of self-regulation on the relationship between attachment styles and alexithymia is partial.

The present study was conducted with the purpose of predicting group membership of academic giftedness and ordinariness in first grade high school students, using variables such as academic motivation, goal orientation, emotional intelligence, metacognition, direction strategies, deep approach to study, self-efficacy, academic adjustment and personality traits. Nine questionnaires used in this study were: 1- Inventory of School Motivation (ISM) 2- Academic Goal Orientation (AGOR) 3- Schutte Emotional Intelligence (SSEIT) 4- Metacognition Awareness Inventory (MAI) 5- Inventory of Learning Style (ILS) 6- The Approaches to Study Inventory (ASI) 7- The Patterns of Adaptive Learning Study (PALS) 8- Adjustment Inventory for School Students (AISS) 9- NEO-FFI. To carry out the study, two samples consisting of 178 ordinary male and female high school students together with 135 gifted male and female high school students were randomly selected. To test the hypotheses and predict groups’ membership, discriminant analysis was used. Using the Enter method, the result showed that the difference between the two groups of gifted and ordinary students was significant. Using Stepwise method, effective variables were: 1- external direction 2- metacognitive regulation 3- appraisal and expression of emotion 4- deep approach to study 5- performance goal orientation 6- academic adjustment 7- intrinsic motivation 8- conscientiousness 9- neuroticism 10- avoidance performance goal orientation. Besides, when the variables were separately used to predict groups membership, variables such as performance goal orientation, avoidance performance goal orientation, appraisal and expression of emotion, metacognitive regulation, external direction, deep approach to study, academic adjustment, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness to experience remained significant.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of organizational justice on job performance, organizational commitment and turnover intention, considering the mediating role of system trust and interpersonal trust. The participants were 340 employees of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Ahvaz region, who were selected by stratified random sampling method. The instruments included organizational justice, trust in organization, trust in top management, trust in supervisor, trust in coworker, job performance, organizational commitment and turnover intention questionnaires. Fitness of the proposed model was examined through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), using SPSS-18 and AMOS-18 software packages. The indirect effects were tested using the bootstrap procedure. Findings indicated that the proposed model fit the data. Better fit and more meaningful results obtained by omitting 7 non- significant paths (distributional, procedural and interactional justice→ job performance, interactional justice → organizational commitment and turnover intention; and interpersonal trust → organizational commitment and turnover intention) and using AMOS modification indices. Results related to indirect effects showed that except 4 indirect paths (procedural justice → organizational commitment through interpersonal trust, interactional justice → organizational commitment through interpersonal trust, procedural justice → turnover intention through interpersonal trust, and interactional justice→ turnover intention through interpersonal trust), the rest were significant.

This study aimed to examine the knowledge, attitude and practice of female high school students in Ilam province in relation to personal hygiene (hygiene during menstruation). In this study, a survey method was used in which a researcher-made questionnaire with 46 questions on the range of 2 to 6 option was administered to the subjects. In order to analyze the obtained data, descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (t-Test, chi-square) were used. The entire population in this study includes all 14026 female high school students studying theoretical branches in Ilam province. In this study, a multi-stage cluster sampling technique was used and 375 subjects were selected based on Morgan table. T-test results showed that the students' knowledge in relation to menstrual hygiene is favorable. However, their attitude in relation to menstrual hygiene was not favorable. Besides, the t-test results showed that the performance of students in practice domain during menstruation is relatively favorable. Finally, as this study was carried out in Ilam, the results are limited and care should be taken not to over-generalize the findings.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationshipbetween job and organizational variables and teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors, considering the mediating role of job stress. To this end, 200 female teachers from public schools in Ilam were selected via multistage random sampling. Research instruments consisted of teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire, organizational trust questionnaire, organizational justice scale, Islamic work ethic scale, and job stress scale. The data were analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM), using SPSS-16 and AMOS-20 software packages. The results showed that the research model was fitted with the data and showed that organizational justice and Islamic work ethic had a significant direct effect on teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior; but the direct effect of organizational trust on teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors was not significant. Bootstrap method for analyzing the mediator relationships showed that job stress mediated the relationship between organizational trust together with Islamic work ethic and teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior. However, the relationship between organizational justice and teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors was not mediated by job stress.Due to the role of teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors in school outcomes, considerable attention should be paid to the factors affecting on it; including the variables examined in this study.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of child- parent relation therapy (CPRT) on improvement of conduct disorder symptoms in 8 year-old school children in Ahvaz. A pretest-posttest design with a control group was used in this study. Participants were all parents of 300 students who were at first and second grades. To find and select main subjects, two steps were taken. Firstly, the parents whose children gained scores higher than cut-off score in Conduct Disorder (CBCL) were selected. Secondly, for final selection, the parents were attended in the structured diagnostic interview, based on DSM-IV-TR criteria. Main subjects were finally selected from those parents whose children's disorder symptoms were confirmed through the diagnostic interview. Then, they were divided randomly into experimental (including 15 students) and control groups (including 15 students). The experimental group received child- parent relation therapy (CPRT) and control group received no intervention. The analysis showed that the children of mothers who were in the experimental group had a significant decrease in the symptoms of conduct disorder comparing to the children of mothers in the control group. According to the findings, it seems that the training provided to mothers in treatment sessions like reflective listening, therapeutic limit setting, identifying and responding to the feelings of children, child-centered play therapy and giving choices to children, reduces symptoms of conduct disorder symptoms in children.

In recent years, much research has been done on work-family and family-work conflict, its antecedents, consequences and effects on individuals and organizations. However, few studies examined the effect of work-family conflict and family–work conflict management on individuals’ work and family life. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of work-family conflict management training on marital satisfaction of female employees at Isfahan University. This research is a true experimental design with experimental and control groups. The research sample consisted of 62 female employees at Isfahan University who were randomly divided into experimental (31 members) and control groups (31 members). As the first step of the research, work-family conflict, family–work conflict and marital satisfaction of experimental and control groups were measured. Data were collected using Tett and Meyer Work-Family Conflict questionnaire and Enrich Marital Satisfaction questionnaire and were later analyzed with descriptive statistic, analysis of covariance and multivariate analysis of covariance. In the experimental group, conflict management training was conducted in seven sessions and work-family and family–work conflicts as well as marital satisfaction were measured for a second time. Results revealed a significant difference between the groups in work-family and family-work conflicts and marital satisfaction (01/0 <P). In sum, it can be concluded that presenting necessary interventions to facilitate work-family and family-work conflicts of employees can reduce negative effects of this conflict on employees’ family life and can enhance their satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of stress management with group cognitive behavioral therapy on illness perceptions, quality of life, general health and clinical symptoms of women with psoriasis. Among fifty one women who volunteered to participate in the study, thirty two women with psoriasis were randomly selected and divided into two groups (experimental and control group). All the participants reply to short version of Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire, Quality of Life Skindex-16, general health questionnaire and Psoriasis Area Severity Index. The experimental group was trained with cognitive behavioral stress management during 10 sessions. Multivariate analysis of covariance showed an improvement in illness perceptions, quality of life, general health and clinical symptoms in the experimental group comparing to the control group. Based on findings, it is suggested that stress management with group cognitive behavioral therapy can be used as a psychotherapy method along with medical treatment to treat psoriatic patients.
