Introduction
Teaching is a job with a high level of stress, and stress is a normal emotional response to threatening events; But when stress becomes chronic, it becomes traumatic. Finally, the stress of the teaching job leads to experiencing severe anxiety, decreasing job satisfaction, leaving the job, and increasing burnout. Therefore, examining burnout and the factors that can affect its level and severity is of great importance. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between self-compassion and burnout of teachers with more than ten years of experience, considering the mediating role of resilience.
Method
In this research, which was conducted by correlation method and structural equation model, a sample size of 372 teachers (220 men and 152 women( with more than ten years of work experience was selected by a multi-stage random sampling method. For data collection, the Neff self-compassion Scale, The Connor & Davidson Resilience Scale and The Maslach Burnout Inventory were applied. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation method and structural equation modeling in SPSS-26 and AMOS-25 software.
Results
The findings of structural equation modeling showed that all paths are statistically significant. So that the direct effect of self-compassion on burnout (β=-0.27, p < 0.003) and its indirect effect through resilience (p < 0.001, β=-0.28) are statistically significant. Resilience also has a significant direct effect on burnout (p < 0.002, β = -0.43). Also, 42% of the variance of burnout can be explained based on self-compassion and resilience.
Conclusion
The findings showed that resilience plays a mediating role in the relationship between on self-compassion and burnout. There is a significant positive relationship between self-kindness, a sense of Common humanity and mindfulness with burnout, and there is a significant negative relationship between self-judgment, isolation, and over-identification with burnout. In explaining these findings, it should be stated that self-compassion originates from positive psychology, which believes that the level of psychological well-being should be improved through accepting abilities and improving them, so people who have high self-compassion, By taking serious care and attention to themselves and using compassionate guides, they help themselves to provide the means for their growth and development, which results in reducing negative mood and ultimately reducing the experience of burnout. With these interpretations, Self-compassion can be an important variable related to burnout, because it empowers a person to take control of the situation when faced with life's problems and hardships by influencing resilience.

The role of attachment dimensions in body appreciation and self-improvement motivation with the mediating role of self-compassion among students IntroductionStudents’ physical and mental health and identifying the predictors of these variables are among the essential duties of families and educational systems. In the present study, body appreciation as accepting, respecting, and having a favourable opinion of one’s own body, as well as rejecting unrealistic body ideals portrayed by the media, and self-improvement motivation as the motivation to enhance the one’s knowledge, education, personality, and status by making conscious efforts were considered target variables. Research has revealed that attachment quality has short-term and long-term effects on health-related variables during the life span. In addition, self-compassion as a factor under the positive psychology paradigm affects physical and mental aspects of everyone’s health. Hence, the goal of the present study was to investigate the mediating role of self-compassion in the relationship between attachment dimensions (avoidance and anxiety) with body appreciation and self-improvement motivation. MethodThis study was a descriptive (correlational) one. The sample group included 394 bachelor’s students (240 females and 154 males) of Yazd University in the academic year of 2018-19, who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. The participants fulfilled the Revised Adult Attachment Scale, Body Appreciation Scale, Self-Compassion Scale and Self-Improvement Motivation Scale. The validity and reliability of the scales were confirmed. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modelling with SPSS 24 and Amos 24. A bootstrap test with 95 per cent confidence intervals was also used to check the indirect effects and mediating roles. Finally, various fitness indices were applied to check the consistency between the data and the conceptual framework. ResultsThe final structural model had acceptable fitness indices. Regarding direct effects, the results revealed that the anxiety dimension of attachment predicted self-compassion and body appreciation negatively and significantly. The avoidance dimension only predicted self-improvement motivation positively. In addition, self-compassion predicted both body appreciation and self-improvement motivation positively. Finally, the results showed the mediating role of self-compassion in the relationship between attachment anxiety with body appreciation and self-improvement motivation. Therefore, the indirect effect of anxiety on both target variables through self-compassion was significant.ConclusionIn sum, we can conclude that by teaching concepts and strategies of self-compassion and informing families about insecure attachment styles, the motivation for self-improvement and body appreciation can somewhat increase in college students. The result has been discussed in more detail using theoretical bases in the paper. Keywords: attachment dimensions, body appreciation, self-improvement motivation, self-compassion.

The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of immunization training against stress and self-compassion training on sense of agency, emotion regulation in male adolescents in Ahvaz. The research design was quasi-experimental of pre-test, post-test and control group and two-month follow-up stage. The statistical population of the study was all male adolescents in Ahvaz in the academic year 1401-1400, of which 75 male high school students were randomly selected and randomly divided into two experimental groups and a control group. The first experimental group was trained immunization against stress Mykenbaum (2008), in 8 sessions of 90 minutes, and the second experimental group was trained self-compassion Gilbert(2009), in 8 sessions of 90 minutes and the control group did not receive any interventions. The instruments used included the Woody Sense-Functioning Scale(2013) and the Garnefski & Craig(2002) Short Form Cognitive Emotion Styles Questionnaire. The results of data analysis showed that stress immunization training and self-compassion training had an effect on the sense of agency, positive and negative emotion regulation compared to the control group in male adolescents. (p <0.001) also It was found that stress immunization training was more effective than self-compassion training in increasing positive sense of agency and positive emotion regulation and decreasing negative emotion regulation (p <0.001). The results in the follow-up phase were also stable. Therefore, using the immunization training method against stress as a more effective intervention can be used to increase the sense of agency and positive emotion regulation and reduce the negative emotion regulation of male adolescents.

The present study examined the relationship between academic competence and self-compassion variables with fear of academic failure through goals of achievement. The statistical population of the study was male and female students of the second grade of high school in Ahvaz city. From this population, 300 people were selected by multistage random sampling. The present study is a descriptive-correlational type of path analysis. Research data were collected using the scales of academic competence, self-compassion, fear of academic failure, and goals of achievement. The results showed that after eliminating some of the non-significant direct relationships between the research variables, the fit of the proposed model was confirmed. The results indicate that there is a negative correlation between self-compassion and academic competence with fear of academic failure, there is a negative correlation between self-compassion with performance and avoidance goals, and there is positive correlation between self-compassion with mastery, and there is a positive between avoidance orientation with fear of academic failure, and there is negative correlation between mastery and performance goals. The results also showed that the indirect relationships of variable academic competence with achievement goals through fear of academic failure were non-meaningful, but the indirect relationship between self-compassion and fear of academic failure through these goals were significant. The results of this study suggest that in order to reduce the fear of academic failure in students, it is appropriate to reinforce the concept of academic competence and self-compassion in students.

Research findings show that adolescent girls are susceptible to develop various forms of eating behaviors, because they are sensitive to challenges related to size, shape and physical appearance. This study aimed to investigate the role of shame, self-Compassion and intolerance of uncertainty in pathology of eating Attitudes among female students. This study was descriptive and correlational and the statistical society of the study included all third year high school female students in Birjand in the academic year of 1395-1396. Given to the society volume and on the basis of krejcie-morgan sample size table, sample volume was assessed 259. data was collected by Body-image shame scale (Duarte et al, 2015), Other as shamer scale (Matos et al, 2015), short form of the Self-compassion scale (Raes et al, 2011), Intolerance of uncertainty scale (Carleton et al, 2007) and Eating attitude test (Garner et al, 1979). In order to examine the research hypotheses, multiple regression analysis was used. Multiple regression analysis showed that body-image shame, adaptive self-compassion and Shame from others predict eating Attitudes, but maladaptive self-compassion and Intolerance of Uncertainty did not play a role in explaining this relationship. These findings emphasize on the facilitating role of self-compassion abilities and pathogenic effects of shame in pathology of eating Attitudes.
